1985 Video Game review

This is a
short review on The NES Tag Team match game.
It's from an old gaming magazine which I believe was called Nexus.

Go-Bots Magazine 1986

This wasn't an
article or write up about M.U.S.C.L.E. Rather.. it was an
advertisement for a cross promotion that MATTEL and Nestle' QUIK
worked together on in 1986. The ad was featured on the back cover of
this spring of 86' issue.

Cracked Magazine #324 March 1998
Back when our hobby was young, many were excited to
spot M.U.S.C.L.E. figure #109 in a parody Ad on the back cover of Cracked
Magazine. This Ad caused quite a bit of excitement for a short while,
because it was thought that a new sculpt was discovered. If you
compare the Cracked M.U.S.C.L.E. to figure #109 on the
poster, you'll find that some of
this M.U.S.C.L.E.'s hand gestures do not match up exactly. The
Cracked figure could not be found anywhere on the official M.U.S.C.L.E.
poster, so it was thought to be a variation. However.. flipping the
Cracked image horizontally in Photoshop, created an identical sculpt to
that of the figure on the poster. For whatever reason, this image was
obviously flipped prior to the magazine's printing, creating a mirror image
of M.U.S.C.L.E. #109

The Freakie Magnet Cereal Enthusiast
Magazine - Fall 1998
,

Kevin Meisner
published this great Cereal magazine in the 90's. He was kind enough
to let me do a write up about the M.P.S., and allotted me two full pages to
do so. At the time, his zine was available at book stores such as
Borders, and Barnes & Noble, so the exposure it brought to our humble
organization was great!

THE M.U.S.C.L.E. PRESERVATION SOCIETY
Review by Erin Podolsky
Article ~ This isn't a group dedicated
to preventing muscle atrophy, so leave your Soloflex at the door. Millions
of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere--or M.U.S.C.L.E.--was a line
of tiny oddball wrestler action figures popularized by Mattel in the
mid-'80s. Darrin M. Vindiola Sr.'s exuberant fan site provides resources
for filling out that grade-school M.U.S.C.L.E. collection, pictorial
documentation of mucho M.U.S.C.L.E. merchandise, and a petition to get
M.U.S.C.L.E. figures back on store shelves. A --Erin Podolsky MUST-VISIT:
members.aol.com/VINDI/FAKES.html Learn how to tell the difference between
the real M.U.S.C.L.E. deal and knock-offs with this handy, graphics-laden
guide.

Playstation Magazine #83 August 2004
This issue of Playstation Magazine featured a letter
from a reader who sold a M.U.S.C.L.E. on e-bay for $422.00. The
M.U.S.C.L.E. in question is considered to be a "Super Rare" by
many in the hobby. He's known as the spinning head Ashura
figure. Even though he is considered by many as a holy grail in the
hobby, it's never been confirmed beyond a reasonable doubt that the figure
is in fact from the American M.U.S.C.L.E. toy line. Until I
personally see one of these figures encased in unopened packaging, I will
continue to assume that this figure is from the
Kinnikuman toy line, (the
Japanese version of M.U.S.C.L.E.)
