The M.P.S. online petition to MATTEL

One of the original goals of The M.P.S. way back in the 90's was to get the M.U.S.C.L.E toy line re-released.  We started an online petition to MATTEL, and all electronic signatures were sent to me via e-mail.  I then put them into a petition online for MATTEL to see.  The public relations gals that worked there at the time got to know my name real well.

See the first letter we sent to MATTEL in 1999

About a year had passed since my first letter was sent, when I got an e-mail from the product manager of the Male action figures division at MATTEL.  He thanked me for all of the info I had sent such as letters and copies of The M.U.S.C.L.E. Times.  While he said he wasn't allowed to comment on toy lines currently in development, he did say that if there were plans to resurrect the M.U.S.C.L.E. toy line, he'd definitely let us know first.

Below are some of the electronic signatures we got from M.U.S.C.L.E. fans urging MATTEL to bring M.U.S.C.L.E. Back.  These are only petition inquires with comments.  We had many more votes that didn't include stories and content.  It's amazing to me how many people felt like they had to explain to MATTEL in words why they needed to bring back the toy line.  There are some great stories and experiences here that solidify just how great of a toy line  M.U.S.C.L.E. is!

In the wake of current pro-wrestling popularity, something that has
resurged since its first mid-80's high-point, M.U.S.C.L.E.S. too should
be deserved of such a resurgence. With the boundless possibilities for
the tie-in of these two cultural heavy-weights, Mattel should not be
remiss in its duty to reintroduce its mini, plastic muscle men.

To whom it may concern:
As an avid toy collector, I write this letter to recommend the re-release of M.U.S.C.L.E. figures. Currently, the trend toward small, collectible figures seems to be growing (ie. Pokemon, etc.) and children love the satisfaction of completing a collection or acquiring a rare piece. As a child, I collected M.U.S.C.L.E. figures, and I'd like my kids to have the same opportunity. And, or course, I think it would be a goldmine for your company!
Best regards,
Jason A. Cirillo, toy collector

I think that the M.U.S.C.L.E. toy-line should be brought back. I loved
those toys growing up and I still have a remaining few, but I would really like to be able to buy them again, they were great. Please make more, you have an assured customer here in me. Thank you,
Mike Drew

Wrestling is hot right now! You can't go wrong with a re-release of M.U.S.C.L.E!!

Muscle were so cool. and a good price like way better than any toys of today, if you re-released them they would sell like hotcakes, you can't beat the price and entertainment value.

I LOVE M.U.S.C.L.E.'s. They are the best! I would buy so many if they were back out. My siblings would buy lots of them too. Mattel Please start making them again.

I love Muscle Men! Please bring em' back!
Orkozero@aol.com

In the late 1980's Matell released toys known as M.U.S.C.L.E men. I still remember the day that I got my first pack of these amazing little toys. I am deperately looking to start a new collection of these toys since my orginals have been lost over the years. Please bring these toys back, it seems that many people share my same interest and will attract old fans as well as new.
C020677@aol.com

I loved these as a kid - they were cheap, durable and fun! And now days with the collectable card game rage, it seems like a collectible figure set would sell well.....Thanks,
Steve ( Swatkat00@aol.com )

I think that you should release M.U.S.C.L.E. Men again.Lots of people want them back and im sure they will sell.
MideonHHH@aol.com

I loved these toys, and I think a whole new generation of children who seem to buy anythingcollectiable like MUSCLE toys, would buy them by the dozenz
DDMPLYNX@aol.com

Well, I used to love these things when I was a kid, but I would gladly
buy these things again...they were so much fun to collect.
HCCCOX@msn.com (Chad Cox)

I started buying M.U.S.C.L.E. figures in my mid-twenties, they were wild, they were weird, they were cool !! My college buds and I made up weird little dice games with them and lots-O-fun with them. Love to see 'em on store shelves again. Sincerely,
Adrian Stone
adrianstone@gateway.net

Although M.U.S.C.L.E.s represent a distant part of my childhood, I am
glad of nothing so much as that I still have my old ones, and they still
rekindle a long-lost feeling every time I play with them. They are a
toy that my cousin, 14 years my junior, and I can enjoy equally. To
this day I scour toy stores hoping to find them stocked on the shelves.
Sincerely, Mike Allen
mallen@adan.kingston.net (Mike)

I remember when you used to be able to buy MUSCLE's for 99 cents a
4-pack from the 7-11's on a whim. Then you saw what you got when you got home... Exciting, huh? But that was just the thing... there really wasn't a form to collecting them, so you could trade for a MUSCLE you had (duh-duh-duuuuuuh) NEVER SEEN BEFORE! And you weren't missing anything, you didn't feel like you had to...-ahem- "Catch 'em all". It was just fun. And I miss it. Vote's same for "Monster in my Pocket". Neat Stuff!

Children of the M.U.S.C.L.E. are now of the age at which they remember the toys so fondly that they will go to any length to buy them. Nostalgia is backed up by purse.

Please, re-release the M.U.S.L.E figures as I am an avid fan of the comic and would love to have the chance to collect the whole series.

With WWF & WCW wrestling back in full gear, I think (& know) that now would be a productive time to re-release the M.U.S.C.L.E toyline. May I also remind that toylines with large amounts characters, like Pokemon are very popular presently. The same could be said for M.U.S.C.L.E. if brought back to us all!!! -Caliber

Hi my name is Josh mccarthy Im 27 years old but I still love
M.U.S.C.L.E.S. and I would like to see them re-released into the market
it would be a good time to bring them back out since wrestling is so
popular now maybe you can bring them out in levels of rarity with rare
,uncommon, and common with rare being hard to find and so on down with common easy to get you could also release them in a yearly series
starting with the year 2000 series each year you could retire some
wrestlers and introduce some new ones maybe cartoon and video game
tie-ins and a online wrestling forum were players are givin stat points
to assign to there wrestlers and can win prizes and at the end of the
year one winner will win the championship belt I have more ideas if you
would like to e-mail me. thank you very much
your loyal muscle fan. Joshua McCarthy

I want the M.u.s.c.l.e toyline back because I loved collecting the M.u.s.c.l.e.s if they were out still I would get a lot more of them. I had chance to get the m.u.s.c.l.e ring but when i went back it wasn't there. So if the muscles were back i could get the ring and more muscles so i hope this helps.

As a kid, the M.U.S.C.L.E. toys were the only ones I kept and enjoyed for a really long time. All the He-Man stuff I had was stuck in a corner of the attic and left there after a couple years. These little things allow creative play, and the variety makes it even better. FREELING@prodigy.net (Freeling)

please re release the M.U.S.C.L.E. men to the market. i have about 150 and i want more. I have had them for about 11 years i want more.
bergeronklt@mediaone.net (Lee Bergeron)

I think they should be re-released because they were the greatest toys ever and I know myself and all of my friends would buy them.
dr_bp@Hotmail.com (Bill Holiday)

M.U.S.C.L.E. was one of the most creative toys ever made. I was never so excited and happy to open a pack then with any other toy nor did I ever have as much fun.
mistypatch@email.msn.com (mistypatch)

im writing in regards to musclemen. I really, really believe that releasing these toys again would be largely profitable. I am 24 yrs old and i made the very stupid mistake of giving all mine to my cousin (which im sure he has lost by now) and i regret it to this day. I really miss playing with those things and the little wrestling ring that you also came out with. With how big professional wrestling has become these days i think that kids would easily clear the shelves of these things. Thank you for your time.

M.U.S.C.L.E. Wrestling Association
M.U.S.C.L.E. Wrestling Federation

Affordable, unique, and collectible toys are extinct or rare at best. As
the MPS demonstrates, there's a large body of us who know and love them from the past, and with the resurgent popularity of wrestling and the huge potential purchasing demographic of today, I can't understand why they're not already back on shelves.
Best regards, Jeff Jacoby

Please re-release M.U.S.C.L.E to the toylines it would be a great manufacturing move. P.S. i also think that the masters of the universe toy line should be re released for a small time. those figures were constructed great (i had 45 of them and none ever broke).

StevenMGee@aol.com
M.U.S.C.L.E. should be re-released because they are much more collectible than those annoying Pokemons. Most of the original collectors are now older with more disposable income. I know that I would love to relive my glorious childhood by collecting M.U.S.C.L.E!!!!!

silicon244@netzero.net (Kevin)
I think that the M.U.S.C.L.E. line of toys should be re-released because it was one of the few toys that encouraged kids to use their imagination! (Gee, go figure!) The idea of having a toy you could also collect was amazing. Why do the companies always discontinue the good stuff? Kevin Duque

Dear Mattel, Your discontinued toy M.U.S.C.L.E.s satisfied the basic need kids want in their toys: for them to be small and collectible. In this age of highly collectable toys it is my opinion that you could generate a M.U.S.C.L.E. craze once again by re-releasing them (in pink). Sincerely,

As a child M.U.S.C.L.E.s were so popular with me becuz they were so cheap and you got four of them! my friends and I played with them for hours and brought them everywhere we went. I still had a few tucked away somewhere and my little brothers found them. They are years 3 and 5 and will not let go of them long enough for me to admire them. I think that it would be a very wise idea to release them again just as the were when I was a kid.
thanks.

There is no better time to bring M.U.S.C.L.E's back than this year, Kids today would go nuts over them like I did back in the day. Just think how big wrestling is. You can use that to steal some of the toy money going around today

Quite simply, it would be a profitable venture on their part. MANY members of the older audience would buy the figures out of nastalgia, but the fact that so many people found them enjoyable the first time seems to imply that many will enjoy them this generation.

To Whom it may concern, I am an avid fan of the now impossible to find muscle wrestlers I have recently started to search on the internet for these great toys - but what I would really like to see is for them to be re-released to toy store shelves. they strike me as inexpensive yet fun toys so I would hope that we could see them for sale again sometime soon. PLEASE consider this. I have a large collection from when I was a kid and would love to continue making it grow thanks for your time.

I'm all about a future rerelease of M.U.S.C.L.Es. I remember the awesome commercials and I was like "Must buy that!!!" If they're rereleased I'll finally be able to get them all. Amen. I just have a good sized sack full at my house. They're one of the best all purpose toys ever. I even have two of the M.U.S.C.L.E posters that were available in a mail in offer. M.U.S.C.L.Es are even the only toy that a friend of mine ever enjoyed or gave a damn about. That's all I'm saying. Please Mattel help the keepers of the flame out. Sincerely,

yes M.U.S.C.L.E's should be re-released they were fun and ended upbeing a great collector's item. the fact that it is expected for the 80's to return in style will help the sales and allow many people to remember their childhood.
blrb@ime.net (ExarKun)

M.U.S.C.L.E's were a key part of my childhood. I am now 18 years old and I deeply regret not putting them in a safer place so my mother wouldn't have thrown them away when I was bad once. I would love to play with those again, and my little cousins used to play with them a couple years ago before they were thrown out. I think older and younger kids would want them again.
K RISH80@aol.com

There's over three thousand people that have visited this m.u.s.c.l.e page alone and the Ebay online auctions are selling these guys at an alarming rate, people still want these toys.
rlab@dlcwest.com

I definately think they should be re-released. When I was a kid, I had them all and now I want them back, as I'm sure many children of the eighties do. Plus, in todays toy market, they could make a killing because there's nothing around like them.
Trash1@idt.net

There has never been an action figure as versatile as MUSCLEs. Bringing them back would give the children of the 90's the same joy that the children of the 80's got. Hey BANDAI, this is a great money making opportunity as well. Patrick Gresham
gresh@pdl.plymouth.lib.mi.us

One of the most underrated toy lines ever. Fun for all ages. Hours of playing time with the wrestling ring or just by themselves. Could collect, trade, and play with them: what more could you ask for only a buck? Man, these would be huge today! Please re-release them!!!
Ddeath99@aol.com

Just thought I'd toss my comments in here...I loved these toys, they were cheap, clever and wildly varied. I bought more practically every time I went to the store, covering my desk with the little buggers. I'd
love to see these back on the market, and I think that parents would appreciate having less expensive toys that have high appeal to buy for their kids.
patdolan@concentric.net

M.U.S.C.L.E were genuinely surreal, beautifully simple, stylish and iconic, and generally marvellous through and through. Please, oh please bring them back for another generation to become obsessive over!!

and i had a blast inventing little backgrounds for my characters and

There small and probably cheap to manufacture but can be hours of fun
to play with. Young kids will want to buy them to see what they are and
older consumers that remember M.U.S.C.L.E.'s from their childhood will
also want to buy them. Zachary

The M.U.S.C.L.E toys were one the coolest toys ever released. They would easily recapture that spotlight with today's kids. Their uniqueness is what made them popular and again it would benefit them. Release the M.U.S.C.L.E.S!!! atmose@pacbell.net

Hi, I think that the M.U.S.C.L.E. Action Figure series should be re-released is that they were first full collection of action figures. They are the most
cool series of action figures ever. If they were re-released it would make me happier than anything else in the whole world. Thanks. Bobby
s_prinz_c@msn.com

M.U.S.C.L.E.S. were wonderful toys for a young boy's imagination. Through these small figures, a child could enter worlds of fun, excitement and joy without any need for computers, televisions or video game systems. They let my imagination run wild, and brought me more joy
than any other toy I EVER owned. I would love the opportunity to see them on the shelves again, particularly in an age where Nintendo and Sega allow little more than instant, mindless gratification. Young
people today need something to stimulate their imagination, and M.U.S.C.L.E.S. do just that.
psoltesz@otan.dni.us

I had about 200 of them. I used to keep them in a big shoe box. Throughout the years, though, they've dissappeared on me. My favorite M.U.S.C.L.E. was the over-grown hand. He was one of the little dudes I remember the most. I think M.U.S.C.L.E. was a toy phenomenon. There hasn't been any other toy line like M.U.S.C.L.E.'s ever since. I think that it's just a damn shame that a lot of toys these days don't have the "personality" that the toys of the 1980's had. M.U.S.C.L.E. really kicked ass.
LHernan874@aol.com

I think that they were cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MAYEUX@worldnet.att.net

Bring back M.U.S.C.L.E.'s. Those little guys were great and the variations seemed endless. I'm wondering why they ever disappeared. I always expected to see more sets in addition to the ring.
kkmann@frontiernet.net

Im sending you this mail as a request to bring back The M.U.S.C.L.E. toys back on the market. The reason I would like them back are easy....I remember when I was a kid, I collected them. I had hundreds, like a big bucket full of them. Well I enjoyed making wrestling matches with them and I think kids today would enjoy it also. When I moved I lost my bucket of guys, so I dont have anymore...Now if you would re-release them, I could get a collection of them back. Hope u will release them, and oh...If you made the Battle Beasts toys, THEY WERE THE BEST, so PLEASE bring them BACK!!!! Thanks!
Mat Demon@aol.com

Mattel,
Please bring back MUSCLES, there's tons of $ to be made, right now there are no equivalents to MUSCLEs. What would be better tan an affordable collectable, remember all the money made on POGS. Now's the time, go for it. Very Truly Yours, Jd
grynn@jaguarsystems.com

Muscle Men should be produced again and distributed throughout the US because they make a lot of people happy(simple, I know, but very important). In addition, any company willing to take the small risk of producing them again and satisfying the urgent requests of kids everywhere would be regarded as a company dedicated to its customers.

i just wanted to voice my opinion about the old muscle toys that were the biggest craze in the 1980's. Muscles were a big part of my growing up, and i have a sentimental feeling towards the cute pink guys. i really wish you could re-sell these in today's market. i know i would buy alot, and i have alot of friends that feel the same way. it's unfortunate that my mom threw
all my M.U.S.C.L.E.S away when i was a kid. and i wish i could recollect them sometime. thanks for listening, kaz
kazimir@hawaii.edu

I think Bandai should bring back the M.U.S.C.L.E.S line because they provide hours upon hours of fun times! There basically undestructible and they divide nicely into good and bad guys. I'm begging you --PLEASE-- bring them back!!! I'll be waiting for the good news! Steve Emery
SEmery007@aol.com

My name is John Morey, and I am submitting my comments on the MUSCLES. In
my opinion, the MUSCLE toy series was one of the best ever, and I regret that I only have twenty(two were bootleg). It has been a wish of mine for
quite some time now that MUSCLES be returned to the toy market, and I am overjoyed to hear of this petition. Please put my name on the list. Sincerely,
John R. Morey
rmorey@igateway.com

They should bring them back because they were such a great toy to collect. I myself have been collecting for about 14 years now, and it is hard when
things get kicked off of the market. M.U.S.C.L.E.S. to me where the funnest to collect because there were so many. I still don't have them all, so please bring them back to us all! ERIC
dkupar@informatics.net

Hi, I agree that MUSCLE men should be brought back on the market. Maybe in  a different color scheme so they would be different from the origingal. They should rerelease original designs and new ones. These are my comments. Thanx for your time. SJ
stealthcat@hotmail.com

I think you should re-realease muscle men they were the greatest thing that
happend to wrestling. I used to play muscle men all the time and never get
bored of them if you re-realease them many people will be very happy. thank you
please consider. a muscle man fan
drvanhorn@theriver.com

I think M.U.S.C.L.E.S should be returned to the market because mostly
everyone lost their's and they're hard to find. I only had a couple of
them but I was really fond of them. Mike
mike.mac@sympatico.ca

MUSCLES should be revived for many reasons- they were a pretty inexpensive
toy. They were highly collectible. They were easy to find. They were great to just display, or wrestle, or destroy through various twisted means. MUSCLES is something that is desperately needed in today's collector-geared market. We NEED MUSCLES!!!!!
kenisonk@waldorf.edu

These figures were great. You could trade them. They were cheap. They
were collectible. They were unique. They must see production again.
Ravage2@netdirect.net

(from now on I'll just call them "The M.s") are cool looking and they should be re-released but with new characters. That would be cool. They should be cheap too! $2-3!!! Save The M.s!!!
sylvestr@northnet.org

With so many toys being re-released these days, who can't label it as trendy? Besides, in a market drenched with repaints of repaints, grotesque figures that parents despise, and the monster we like to call
'variations', a blast from the past is just what the doctor called for.  These little figures can usher in a new era of toy making.
adamcas@ipass.net

yes! muscles should be re-released. as a kid i had many of these and almost became addicted to them. to me they were far more superior to any of the toys in the early 80's because they wouldn't break or get stolen. keeping track of them did become a chore though. still, i'd rather see muscles being sold than more Power Ranger toys. thank you. fuge
jmatthys@ix.netcom.com

We want more M.U.S.C.L.E. Men!!!! MORE AND KEEP EM PINK

With the affinity most of us have now for the little pink men we had then, and with the BOOM in toy collecting, manufacturers could turn a nice profit by putting these things on the shelves again.
mjeanes@gator.net

I loved these guys so much! I wanted to collect them all, but then they were taken off the market! Please bring them back! They are really cool! M.U.S.C.L.E 4LIFE!!!!
KensukeSan@aol.com

Please Bring Back the M.U.S.C.L.E's!!!! They're great toys for kids, as they give them a chance to actually use their imagination. Also, brothers are able to coax their sisters into playing with them, because they're pink!!!
MaryLou2o1@aol.com

Put me on that petition, I had M.U.S.C.L.E.'s when I was little, They RULE! I'll have to dig through my boxes of stuff to check them out again!
Thanks!
Mustard87@hotmail.com

I used to collect M.U.S.C.L.E toys and I still pick them up when I see them at flee markets. I would love to see them rereleased again.
SonGotenNC@aol.com

Hey, Please consider re-releasing the MUSCLE action figures. I really enjoyed them as a kid and would like to see them back in stores. It'd be nice to get my hands on some again. Travis
kokas.1@osu.edu

keep them coming i miss them
Dukespad@aol.com

I believe that MUSCLE should be back on the market. I may be a girl but I liked them
Celes1999@aol.com

M.U.S.C.L.E. figures should be re-released because I believe they were one of the more influential toys of the 80's. I realize that of course the toys were a money-making venture first and foremost, but with their lack of background they made kids use their imaginations. Imagination, what a concept!
wigginstt99.cs07@usafa.af.mil (wigs)

I think they should re-release them because some of these toys were excellent!
SteBowli@aol.com

This is a letter for the petition. I think M.U.C.S.L.E. should be  re-sold because there are teenage collecters my age who remember their  mothers buying them 50 and they remember them. Like me they want  more. I also think the little kids today would love them as I did as I was a kid. Mark
kupel@earthlink.net

To Bandai, or Mattel, or whoever else may be listening: YOU'VE GOT TO BRING BACK THE M.U.S.C.L.E.'s !!! They WERE the coolest toys of the '80's because they WERE virtually indestructible, and because they really DID inspire creativity by not having pre-set personalities. Sure, they were lost easily too, but toy companies should love that because then they get to sell replacements for the lost ones. Right? Right! A new generation is now ready to be introduced to M.U.S.C.L.E.'s! (And the first generation has been ready to be re-introduced for some time now.) You've gotta bring 'em back -- you've just gotta......Kyle Robinson, M.U.S.C.L.E. fan for life
z1h52@ttacs1.ttu.edu

I love them they are awsome. I have spent me whole childhood playing with them
bhealy@bellsouth.net

Please bring them back, they were great toys and easily affordable. They are so cool, so please bring them back, Thank you and please do re-release them. Best of Luck.
ICHIBAN729@aol.com

we want muscles rereleased
Bfreddyj@aol.com

I think that MUSCLES are the best toy ever and to deprive those who have never had the chance to have a MUSCLE are really really deprived of a simple little child hood toy. I think they are awesome and need to be put
back on the market
lbowen@sisna.com

they are cool. i had lots when i was a kid . i wish i had them still. to bad i ate them. darn.
heapsr45@gte.net (heapsr)

I think Muscles should be re-released because now a days there is no toy type that is cheap, fun and tradable. Baseball and Comic cards used to serve this purpose but now it is about $4.00 a pack for like 6 cards.
You can't do it with action figures because it is hard to get any under $7.00. Another reason is because they were weird and you could build up massive armies of them. They were a lot of fun.
msmallfield@voyager.net

M.U.S.C.L.E.S. were one of my favorite toys at the time. They provided excellent variety very affordably (important to kids). M.U.S.C.L.E.S were like trading cards, you never knew who you were going to get in those garbage cans, and unlike cards you could play with them
rongreynolds@webtv.net (Ronald Reynold)

M.U.S.C.L.E.S are the coolest toys ever they fit in a pocket can be played with anywhere and are neat to look at you have my support do America proud and bring back M.U.S.C.L.E.S
carnivalcity@hotmail.com

kids need muscles for 2 good reasons:
1st, they break the race barrier. i think racial tolerance will go up if they can see toys of various colors and species teaming up and fighting eachother as if race wasn't an issue. its beautiful.
2) toys these days require no imagination. you should have scene some of the scenarios i put those poor creatures through. i had politics and stuff going on in my own little world.-Jim P. Field-
UghYaGotMe@aol.com

Re-release them!!! Their easy to collect, cheap, and unique. They're good for making a large army of completely gifferent figures.
tran@cyberia.com

To whom it may concern

My reason for bringing muscles back is that when I was between ages 5 and 8 I had a huge collection of them, but they were unfortunately lost as most childhood toys are. I'm 17 now and I recently had a little chat with
my mom and brother about how cool those muscles had been. I have realized that I want them back and I'm willing to pay for them. It would be a way for me to relive those early childhood memories that I seem to have forgotten recently. Those happy days. Please BANDAI and MATTEL, re-release those wonderful muscles. Even a limited re-run would be great
for the little kid in all of us who used to enjoy your product tremendously. Sorry to drag this on, but think of the profits! They can't be expensive to produce, so you could probably make a decent profit on every pack sold. What kid wouldn't demand a re-release of MUSCLES over
some stupid ninja turtle? I don't know of any. Well theres my opinion on the MUSCLE re-release idea. Sincerely Matt Trudell 17 year old child at heart.
mtrudell@mail.win.org

I think muscle figures are unique toys that brought a lot of joy to children, me being one, when they were being sold. I am now 20 but would like to buy them for my sister's children who I have given the few remaining muscles I had. Please bring them back for the next generation of kids who would love to have them. Thank you.
TRAXX1200@aol.com

The one thing I always remember about Muscle Men is the brick Muscle Man guy. The was my favorite. And i really really really want them to bring them back. I have a small collection(of what i have left) My friend Pat gave me about 30 MM so i've gotoon into them more now. I do hope my wriiting this will help bring back the once loved and always cherished M.U.S.C.L.E M.E.N -Steve
Malorkis@aol.com

They still sell the little green army men, so why not M.U.S.C.L.E? sure, it's hard to type with all those periods, but their were hudreds of them, all different, very cheap to make, anyone could afford them. Tradable and collectable, they're just fun.- Steve
NYisontop@aol.com

M.u.s.c.l.e. toys should be rereleased because of their collectibility.
They are the type of toy that can stand the test of time.
thenixtr@acy1.digex.net (The Nixtr)

I'm 17 and when I was younger I used to play with M.U.S.C.L.E. figures and I loved those little things! There were so many different styles.  I'd love it if they were re-released!
bhenders@inav.net

M.U.S.C.L.E.S. were taken off the market before I had a chance to collect them all. Over the years, they have gotten lost or damaged and now I would like to buy them all again. I'll be having kids before too long, and I
want them to play with M.U.S.C.L.E.S, so re-release 'em! Carey R. Drake
freg@auburn.net

I want them re relesesd
Ovinoman14@aol.com

I loved my M.U.S.C.L.E. figues, and my brother (who was not born when they were relased) is amazed by how cool they are. There are so many of them, and they are each so unique, and have so much character, you can never tire of playing with them. Now, as proffessional wrestling is making a huge comeback, I think Muscles would be more popular than ever!
MaddTrick@aol.com

The great little toys help stimulate a person's mind, by the absence of "Spring-launched missiles," and "Actions Features." They make the people control these little guys and give thme personalities and have them run through adventures. Bring them back! For the love of god, BRING THEM BACK!
D Manshoon@aol.com

I love them! I had a total of 110 M.U.S.C.L.E.S not including 125 duplicates. I still sometimes dump them out of my bucket and have an all out brawl. I really think that they need to bring them back!
staples@fullnet.com (staples)

I AM A HUGE FAN OF M.U.S.C.L.E.S.!!!!
BRING THEM BACK. I NEED THEM. THANKS!
dstearns@wvi.com

I believe M.U.S.C.L.E. should be re-released because these toys were really cool to collect because of their size and easy to carry for kids everywhere. I would really like to collect them myself. I have about twenty muscles from when I a youngster and still in good condition I
would have liked to collect them all. MUSCLEs were also so inexpensive to buy many of them at one time.
gaffle@pacbell.net

Bring MUSCLES back. They are cheap and can provide hours of entertainment for poor familys
montez@fia.net

Re release Muscles I would buy them.
Tomservo28@aol.com

To whom it may concern I am a toy collector, and a huge fan of your M.U.S.C.L.E. toy line. Years ago I remember collecting all the "Thug Busters and Cosmic Crunchers" I could. To this day I still am fasinated with them. As I travel around to toy shows I find there is a huge following and market for this particular toy line. If the M.U.S.C.L.E. line was re-released, I personally would buy every little item, and know of hundreads of other collectors and kids alike who would do the same. I really think it would be quite successful, especially with the recent popularity in TV wrestling among kids and adults alike. Please give us more M.U.S.C.L.E.! Thanks
Tyler Larkins

I think that the toy M.U.S.C.L.E. should be re-released because they are a freat line of toys. They are really neato and I know about 15 people that would buy them.
Beeffdaddy@aol.com

I guess you wanna know why I want these toys re-released........ SIMPLE THEY WERE THE BOMB.....Better then those little green army men....Had so many different wrestlers.......And the garbage can they came in........Wish I still had them ...had about 300 that I know of..But my mom went and gave them to my baby cousin ...Now probably all are bubried in his backyard.
BRING BACK THE MUSCLE!!!
Dreadnok81@aol.com

TELL THEM PLEASE BRING BACK MUSCLE MEN I WOULD BUY SO MANY YOU DONT EVEN KNOW I GOT A HUNDRED OR SO AND THEY'RE AWESOME!!!! BRING THEM BACK! M.U.S.C.L.E. WILL LIVE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Zodiac@home.com (James Abeyta)

Kinnikumen are my life! There are many MUSCLE fans in Hong Kong! We all do hope that we can buy the RE-RELEASE MUSCLE COLLECTION in Hong Kong in the near future!(Not only in US or Canada) In HK, we have to spend a lot of money to buy the old MUSCLE collection. For example, we need to spend about 50 bucks for three little rubber model! It is unreasonable! We all WISH the MUSCLE collection can be re-release! Jacky from Hong Kong
noel_jacky@yahoo.com

m.u.s.c.l.e.s where and still are one of the greatest collectable toys ever made.  there where so many different types of figures you couldnt help but let your
imagination explode.they where like the biggest trading-collectable since baseball cards, but alot more fun.so please re-release these crazy guys,if not for me,then for all the kids whose imaginations have not yet been opened.  thanks for your time, BRIAN PRYBYLSKI
halco 60@aol.com

M.U.S.C.L.E. are the coolest toys around. I am 13 and have been collecting them since i was 7. About a year ago i found a store that carried 4 packs of M.U.S.C.L.E. figures I bougt all i could then one day i went back and
thay were all gone. i travel to fleamarkets and yardsales. M.U.S.C.L.E. desreves another chance.
smw@multipro.com

I think there are many youngsters out ther who would enjoy these great toys.I was only able to get one ten pack as akid but would like to get many more. This however cannot be done unless they are re-released.
The Thornhill Family

I agree that re-releasing these awesome little guys would be great. Mattel should realize that these things were so incredibly fun and collectable. They must return!
AMCZX2@prodigy.net

In my opinion, re-releasing the MUSCLE line of toys would be very profitable to Mattel. Now I'm no expert on the subject, but all kids' toys are very expensive these days and there's absolutly no originality in the market, and one of the main reasons MUSCLE was so popular is because it was inexpensive and a simple, yet original concept. Children of the 90's have never seen MUSCLE, and the concept would probably be very appealing to them as a change from the exspensive toys which aren't really fun at all.
IMP77@aol.com

Bring those guys back! They were the best and you could do anything to them. So many different characters make them fun to collect like sports cards.
mfdjerom@MNSi.Net (Mark Jerome)

Muscles should be re-released because I have wondered for YEARS where these little treasures have gone, and have only found a few under my bed or in
the back of my closet. But I would like to have them ALL again!!! So re-release them and take my money...

Dear Mattel, I am writing you in regards to re-releasing the M.U.S.C.L.E line of toys for two reasons. One: They were a great toy for children (small, inexpensive, and led to hours upon hours of countless entertainment) and Two: I think our children need to have toys like what were available in the 80's, which were available to us, so that they're imaginations will not be solely taken over by video game systems, computers, and the internet. Children nowadays don't have much in the form of imagination,

the whole 'thinking' part of imagination is done for them. The work has been done by computer games, and video game systems (Nintendo / Sony...etc...). So I think it would be a good deed to start re-issuing these toys for this great purpose.
Yours truly, John P. Townsend
Johnpt@warwick.net (John P. Townsend)

there are very good reasons to bring m.u.s.c.l.e. things back to the toy market.
they are a dynamic and creative toy line. you name them yourself, and there are so many different ones you never get tired of collecting them. they also fit in your pocket. i am 23 years old and i still seek comfort in feeling them in my pocket at meetings...
jennieburt@tdi.net (Jennie M. Burt)

In a word, MUSCLE was the coolest. In addition, every child I meet who sees them wants them. This includes my 2 year old who caries around a ziplock bag of his "men." Also, wrestling is more popular than ever now, which should mean easy sales since the MUSCLE guys are wresters. Old ones could be re-issued and new ones created to make a very successful toy line. I certainly would buy lots! Kevin Meisner
Gales Ferry, CT Meisner65@aol.com

Yes I would like for MUSCLE to be back in stores.
FAMMAM@worldnet.att.net (JOSEPH MAMUSCIA)

I think M.U.S.C.L.E. should be re-released because as a kid I remember them being more fun than any other toys out there. They were perfect, because you could get a lot of them all at one time, and they were hours of fun. If they were to be re-released, I think they would do well for those reasons.

BRING M.U.S.C.L.E.'s BACK!!!!!!!
rambo@cwv.net (rambo)

To whom it may concern, With all the re-birth of the retro 80's, some lengendary things have been left out of this comeback...M.U.S.C.L.E. MEN have been forgotten! As far as i am concern, M.U.S.C.L.E. MEN can rebuild their popularity with great support such as us! there are many collectrs out there..."Star Wars this...Star Wars that"...but when you really think about it, EVERYONE remembers the pink little guys called M.U.S.C.L.E.MEN!!!. I ask you to bring back these guys! I give you my support!
J95HIT@aol.com

Muscle men benifited everybody Mattel! Because kids like me spent all the money we could on your fantastic product, and of course most kids loved them. They were personally my favorite toy and they always will be.
oregong@teleport.com (Dave Whiteman)

I don't really need to explain why they are so great. It's pretty obvious. I would certainly buy them if they were brought back.
sagal@flash.net

Mattel needs to bring M.U.S.C.L.E. because they were one of the most genious line of toys ever. There were so many different styles to collect and were affordable. So what if they didn't have joints......if you had an imagination, they were the best toy ever.
SKAcore247@aol.com

Hi my name is Psencer Nadolsky from Holland,mi, and I think that you guys should put M.U.S.C.L.E figures on the market again....they were probably one of the best toys out there for me and my friends to play with. Hello. I will be happy to have my name on your petition. The Muscles were
the greatest toy made in the eighties. I would go crazy buying them again
if they were back on the market. Please put them out once more! Thank you!
Michael Todd Wrenn, Louisburg, NC

I had ALOT of action figures as a child, but nothing else sticks out in my memory like Muscles. They were just so cool. Please make them available again.Unfortunatly, I don't have ONE left. But I'm searching for them.

Muscle men should be re-released because they are cheap to make, kids luv' em, and collectors will love them. (if they were around when they came out the first time.) Like me! Zack Wright
JiveOman@aol.com

yes i think they should bring them back you've got my vote!
Bustacrump@aol.com

please re release the toy line muscles even in a direct order or market approach if not a direct sales approach it was a great toy line that needs to be done again thanks!!!!!!
PICKLEMAN@prodigy.net (Jolene F Guagliano)

A friend of mine and I have recently been trying to locate old muscle men toys by going to comic stores, outdoor marts, and looking through boxes of old toys belonging to friends who used to collect them too. trying to bring back memories of my youth. I have many memories of my muscle men. My mom cheering me up, taking me to K-Mart and buying my 1st 4-pack with my allowance, becase my Dad was away for the weekend fishing. Burrying them in the mud, playing with them in the bathtub, making lego forts, and lots of wrestling matches on my living room couch. Its a part of my youth that I dont think I'll forget. A re-release of these toys would be great, and I think that kids today would have as much fun collecting and trading them as I did. But please make some type of mark to differ them from the 1st series. Im writing this for me, and for my friend and all of the other people out there who have muscle memories too. Please, bring back the m.u.s.c.l.e line. Thanks,
Matt Humphries grimase@juno.com

I'M 12 years old and did not get to enjoy M.U.S.C.L.E and I would realy want to.
So bring them back.
Wireban@aol.com

please re-release the much adored range of toys from the eighties - Muscle Men as everybody I know (despite being 17) would buy them and still trade and play with them
HAIL all men who are muscly and made of the strongest material ever
ProfSMAT@aol.com

Wow, muscle men I came on the internet to try to find some evidence of my favorite toy as a kid. I am 19 and no one believes me about the little pink rubber men I used to play with. They were the best toy ever. Man, I want to play with some right now. That is why Mattel should re-released them, cause they were fun.
ubermonkey@juno.com

I feel that the M.U.S.C.L.E line needs to be re-released because M.U.S.C.L.E is SO cool! as a young boy I grew up with muscle men and I feel that they are very fun for a child. They are pretty afordable and good for a young person. I don't really know what to say but please put M.U.S.C.L.E.S back on!
nordby14@proaxis.com (Thomas Nordby)

MUSCLE did very well when the market was flooded with great toys and with no cartoon and comic book tie-ins. Now the market is packed with one kind of toy, action figures with established storylines. Kids today don't have a toy to use their imagination with. And now there is an adult market with an interest in Anime and nostalgia.
ROONHOK@webtv.net (kevin mayle)

There's not much to say that everyone else has already said. But for me, M.U.S.C.L.E. has brought out the best in my imagination. I actually didn't really discover M.U.S.C.L.E. until about 2 years after it's release and even at age 17 I was hooked on these little guys. In fact I hadn't even bought another toy since growing out of my Star Wars phase 4 years earlier. Those days of playing our M.U.S.C.L.E. game and making M.U.S.C.L.E. movies are some of the foundest memories of my life. Now, here I am ten years later reliving those memories through my M.U.S.C.L.E. wrestling website (http://www.primenet.com/~jayr/mcw.html).
The only other toyline that has captured my imagination more than M.U.S.C.L.E. is Star Wars... and that's saying a lot!
Jason Radniecki (jayr@primenet.com)

Dear Mattel, Please re-release M.U.S.C.L.E's.. I have always enjoyed playing with them.. one day I went to buy them and discovered that they were no longer being
produced. survivor@mcn.net (Survivor-Kyle B.)

I'm 17 years old, and I still remember playing with MUSCLE men. They were my favorite toys back then, and I still enjoy looking at them now. The best thing about them is their extreme collectibility. They were like baseball cards. I would try to get the pack with the coolest looking ones, then trade my friends for ones I couldn't find. If MUSCLES ever came out again,
I'd buy every single one I saw, hands down.-Michael

While recently cleaning out my closet in the attempt to move, I discovered two boxes containing 138 M.U.S.C.L.E. figures. This was a revelation of much joy, for these figures provided me with many hours of trading on the school bus in elementary school as well as a great ice-breaker for my new roommate, also a M.U.S.C.L.E. enthusiast. By re-releasing this magnificent product onto the market, those of us who bought them as kids may now maximize our "disposable income" in our attempts to retain our youth. Chuck "Vermin" Porterfield

I loved MUSCLES! Bringing them back today would be a very smart move on
Mattel in that:

1) they are cheap

2) cheap, yeah, but you just HAD to get em all! (ie: Money for mattel! Fun for us!)

My last word: bring 'em back! :)

Bring Muscles Back!!!!!!!
DrPain636@aol.com

Why I like M.U.S.C.L.E. guys. They rock. There should be more M.U.S.C.L.E. girls too! I just want to show my support. These toys are great because they dont break like all of my other toys. I only have 12 and hope to see more of the M.U.S.C.L.E. Men in stores soon. So my collection will become huge!!! There should be more different ones released along with the current ones too. Im Lord Liquorice, signing off!
lord_liquorice@hotmail.com (Lord Liquorice)

I used to collect these when I was a kid. My friends and I had fat trading sessions. If these were out on the market today I couldn't resist spending all my spare money trying to complete my collection. Richard
rah@ecst.csuchico.edu (Richard Horan)

well i think they are really cool cause they are different than the redone over and over again action figure. they are like the little statues that adults collect but they are plastic and for kids. Charles (Durand@aol.com)

"Muscles are the best toys I have ever seen." If they were still available today in their original form I would buy a lot. Auston Holt ach@wans.net

I believe it would be most profitable for Mattel to bring MUSCLE toys back, I remember when I had them when I was a kid, and soon I'm having children of my own, and MUSCLE sure as hell beats the Power Rangers.
John DeSpirito ~ despirit@sju.edu

I strongly encourage the release of M.U.S.C.L.E. MEN back onto the market. There are so many people that are trying to get this 80's toy! Mattel would make good money if they released them. I'm seeing them sell up to 60 cents each! I am a collector that would love to get all 200 (or so) of them.
moonbeam4655@email.msn.com (MOONBEAM4655)

Dear Mattel, I was a huge fan of M.U.S.C.L.E. Figures when they first came out. I
would be an even bigger fan if they were still on the market today!! I can still remember trading them with my friends on our lunch hour. Please bring this toy back so my children can one day appreciate them as well. The packs of four and the garbage pail packs were great ! Please consider bringing this product back !! Thank you for your time, Colin Beadle Vancouver, British Columbia

Quite simply, there are no more toys that are as cheap, fun, and in as great of a selection as MUSCLES. In addition, the recent popularity of professional wrestling and the potential for cross-promotion makes it an excellent marketing idea. Michael Austin
mdaustin@engin.umich.edu (Michael D. Austin)

MUSCLEs are by far the greatest collectible toy figurines ever created. Their unique quality is the extremely wide variety of figures, ranging from all types of MUSCLEs that anyone can enjoy. They can be used as toys for kids of all ages, and can be used as collectibles by people of
all ages. Karaca@pop.prodigy.net (Bora Karaca)

I think muscles were the greatest toys ever along with many other people who think the same as I do. First of all they were very durable and creative looking. They could be taken anywhere because of there size, you got to name them yourself, and you could trade them easily. The flesh color made them look original. That's why I think that
M.U.S.C.L.Es should be rereleased. Orion Webb
WildWebb@webtv.net (William Webb)

M.U.S.C.L.E. figures stand out as the greatest toy-line in history. They apppealed to kids who wanted to play with them, they appealed to collectors who wanted to diplay them, they appealed to wrestling fans who just thought that the idea of cosmic wrestling was too cool to pass up and they also appealed to miniatures-painters who knew how cool they'd look painted up. In ANY case, everyone knows that wrestling was a mainstream success during the mid-1980's, with the pop culture aspect of Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, Junkyard Dog and their peers. And that's partly why M.U.S.C.L.E. sold so well. Well, guess what? Wrestling is more popular now than it was then, but this time around, it's not just a gimmicky fad. It's for REAL! With superstars as popular as Hogan was back then popping up on virtually every merchandising item imaginable, M.U.S.C.L.E. would certainly sell BIG TIME!! Wrestlers such as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, the Undertaker, Sting, the Giant, and Mankind have made wrestling a household name again, while the smaller independent federation wrestlers like Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, Tommy Cairo, and Spike Dudley keep regional wrestling nearly as popular as WWF and WCW! Wrestling is in it's hay-day! It only makes sense to capitalize on it. By ignoring this resurgence, you'd be doing yourself and wrestling fans everywhere a sad injustice. Please bring back M.U.S.C.L.E..----Baby Cindi

I have collected M.U.S.C.L.E. since they came out I have thousands of these great figures and have been barely succesful finding these.Every christmas I would always wait for my muscle men .Thay were my favorite, and it would be great if I could be able to see new muscle men again . MATTEL please make more PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

I think M.U.S.C.L.E men were one of the coolest toys I ever had as kid. If they came back I would buy them all and still play with them. I'd be sure that my kids would play with them too. Please bring them back. They can't be too expensive or hard to make.

I grew up in japan so i guess i grew up on kinnikuman (muscle). i collected the little figures, read the comic, watched the weekly cartoon, and bought every thing i could that was kinnikuman. when i moved back to the states i was surprised to see muscle figures. it was really cool. but by that time my friend said that they didnt make them anymore. I know a lot of people besides myself that would like to see more
muscle, so bring them back!!!

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,
I AM WRITING TO ADD MY NAME TO THE PETITION TO BRING BACK
M.U.C.S.L.E. I REMEMBER HAVING HOURS OF FUN WITH MY DOZENS OF FIGURES IN MY MOM'S FLOWER GARDEN. NOW I'M OLDER AND HAVE A SON OF MY OWN AND WOULD LOVE TO BE ABLE TO SHOW HIM HOW MUCH FUN I HAD AS A CHILD. IN A AGE WHERE EVERY FIGURE HAS 10 WEAPONS AND 56 DIFFERENT BENDABLE JOINTS IT WOULD BE REFRESHING TO SEE M.U.S.C.L.E. BACK ON THE MARKET. A CHILD COULD BY ALOT OF FIGURES FOR THE PRICE OF ONE NORMAL FIGURE WHICH IS WHAT I LOVED THE MOST ABOUT THEM.
THANK YOU, shomemo2@yahoo.com (BRENT ELLIS)

M.U.S.C.L.E. was the single greatest toy ever made. They were pocket size small which made them very convenient and because of this made them fun to collect. You could do anything with them, from slingshotting them across the yard to diving for them in your pool. They had so many uses and they were the equivilent, if not better than trading cards. So many cheap imitations have been made from Z-Bot to Beast Wars which could not compare to the uniqueness of the M.U.S.C.L.E. Men.
Brad -(bp@email.ro)

Muscles should be at least given a chance, or a trial run. They would prevail.
Give it a chance. O98degrees@aol.com (Chris Bores)

Bring those cool toys back!!!! I grew up on Muscle and will live to see the day of their return! Ryan@ RYANZLUVHOUSE@JUNO.COM

When I was a little kid Muscles weren't out and when they were out I was about 1 or 2. when I was growing up I collected monster in my pockets, Trash bag bunch, Z-Bots,and ghost busters. When I was about 8 my friend who is now in collage gave me about 20 muscles. I still have them. They are the coolest toys there ever was. I just started buying them off the Internet. I wish they would sell them in stores again. I know tons of people who would buy them. I love collecting. I have over 200 monster in my pockets!!!!!!! i hope Mattel will sell them again. Sincerely, Andrew (coolstix@aol.com)

You need to bring them back because they are one of the best toys realeased by you. They were one of my favorate toys and if they came back I would purchase them by the tons. Please bring them back oh master of the M.U.S.C.L.E.

The only thing I can really think to say is that they were the greatest toys I ever had as a kid, and I would want children nowadays to experience them.
Mickman48@aol.com

M.U.S.C.L.E figure toys should be back on the market. They were the best toy ever! I had a bunch of them but my mom gave them all way. If I saw them in a store these days, even though I'm now 18, I would buy as many as I could. I know that there are many other people who would agree with me. So many of my friends want them to come back. I know it would be very profitable for your company. Please, please put them back on the market. -Daniel palm

I know abot a million kids that love wrestling and love to bring little toys to school that the teachers don't want you to bring. So kids see these and bring them to school to rebel from the rules. So I know kids will love these things, for i'm a kid.
Wireban@aol.com

Hey, Jimmy Hadder here, to lend a hand in the petition. MUSCLE was an astounding toy idea. The figures were small, cheap, and cool. Kids were forced to use their imaginations to make up names and play scenarios, since there weren't any offered by Mattel. MUSCLE is the only toy line from the last 15 years that allowed you to walk into a store with a buck, and leave with four unique, well-designed toys, (speaking about the four packs, of course). If Mattel did bring them back, I would hope that they somehow distinguish them from the originals. I would also pray that they don't try to make up some lame premise for MUSCLE. Just let the kids think it up, It worked before. mhad@doubled.com (Jimmy Hadder)

my god...the M.U.S.C.L.E. figures are incredible. They are so well crafted, and the ideas are hilarious. Please bring them back! Please!
JColLemon

It would be nice to re-release the little guys on the market, they were so cool, just visiting these pages, revived wonderful childhood memories....Now if I can ever find them again!!!! I need my M.U.S.C.L.E.'s back!!!!!!!
Thanks, Ken West (PoOpiESlAm@aol.com)

I used to have a bunch of M.U.S.C.L.Es when I was a kid, but as I grew a little older, I foolishly sold them at a garage sale for a few bucks. I would gladly buy any M.U.S.C.L.Es that were relesed now. (Blue Bogle@aol.com)

THEY SHOULD BRING MUSCLE TOYS BACK. THEY WERE AWESOME WHEN I WAS A KID, AND LITTLE KIDS AND SOME ADULTS WOULD LOVE TO SEE THEM COME BACK
Synstarz@aol.com

I think m.u.s.c.l.e men should be put back on the toy store shelves because i grew up with them and i would collect them. I would also get them for my kids.
Shawn2781@erols.com (Shawn Tomlinson)

Bring muscle men back!!! They were the only toy you could never have the entire collection of and you can never outgrow them.
Bushwack44@aol.com

Muscles should be re-released because to put it simply, I would not be the man I am today without them. I still remember those days when I walked out of class and challenged some little kid to a "fake" game of Muscles. I played really bad the the first time then we played for keeps and I would win all of his. Oh yes, that was a memorable experiance.  In essence, Muscles are one of the bases of the small amount of human dignity and kidness that we all still posses. Think of a world without Muscles and you will see a planet with a lot more violence and corruption. Muscles provided that underlying foundation for good-behavior, a well-balenced meal and a good source of basic ingenuity found in the darkest receses of the human mind. I dare you, sir or madame, to give me one instance when Muscles were not a primal source for the balance of child development. To comprehend the impact that Muscles have had would be a futile challenge and would be a petty waste of time. I'd rather be out killing kids....... wait, see, we need Muscles back before it's too late!!

Dear Mattel- i would love to see the muscle series of figures rereleased. They were my favorite toys as a child, and wrestling was my favorite thing to watch on tv. Im sure with the recent explosion of the popularity of the WWF and WCW that these figures would do quite well, as they did in the
80's. Thank you! - Jesse

CARNY77@webtv.net (Roland B)

Kininikuman toys a.k.a M.U.S.C.L.E.'s are the best toys ever. I live way over here in New Zealand, where they never took off as much as some places overseas, but i once walked into a small toy store some years ago and found in the corner a box full of brightly coloured little rubber figures...the name on the box was "Muscle Wrestlers". I bought a few (being only about 12 years old i couldnt afford many, even at their cheap prices), i took them home and played with them, they were just the right size to fit on my LEGO castle set...i was hooked, and as soon as i could i went back to buy as many more as i could afford. I only ended up with about 20, including my favourite: a bright red figure of Kinnikuman himself clenching two fists and roaring... i didn't even know he was the 'hero' of a Japanese comic book i'd never seen before. I went again to the toy store, but the Muscle Wrestlers were all gone... which was a pity, i would have bought them all if i could
have..... Nowadays the little MUSCLES are collectors items, especially the 'pink' ones it seems.....personally i liked my red Muscle-man, but you get what you get i suppose... Honestly though, these toys were the best things to ever come out of Japan, and if even grown-ups are buying them now (i would), they cant possibly be a bad investment. Bring back MUSCLE men!!!! filoifaga ma'auga
filo@cheerful.com

My reasons for wanting M.U.S.C.L.E. back are simple. There aren't any good toys out anymore. I'm almost 18 years old, but I respect the good, old, fun toys. Things like Voltron, Transformers, He-Man, and even the M.U.S.C.L.E. figures were fun, simple, inexpensive toys and there was a lot that they could be used for. I say, bring them back. A bucket of M.U.S.C.L.E. That's what we need again. The new generation deserves it. ~ Stephen Perry (GM PerryX@aol.com)

Bring them back!!! They are simple, interesting, cool, inexpensive to collect, and make a room look very cool when there are various little pink fellows peeking their heads out of nooks and crevices.-David Merrifield.
merfs@outrageous.net

I first started buying these action figures as a lark, but my fondness for them soon began to EXPLODE!!! These are the GREATEST small scale figures to collect and trade EVER!!! So many cool poses and with wrestling gaining more and more strength every week on cable how could you not bring these guys back????
csbrown@uci.edu (Chris Brown)

With the current wrestling craze, I think that it is crazy for Mattel to not be rereleasing these fantastic toys. CB Carey. (citytenor@aol.com)

My name is Kyle, and I'm from Wisconsin, and my fiancee and I just collectively remembered MUSCLES the other day. I found what's left of my collection, and I'm thrilled with the nostalgia. In this world of Barbie and Beanie Babies, the world of collectible toys could use the shot-in-the-arm that the revival of M.U.S.C.L.E.S. would provide. Thank you!
Tapefiend@aol.com

My name is Dan Bates and I am 16. I remember playing with muscle men when i was growing up. I still have a few,but my mom threw out most of them or gave them away to my cousins. I would love to have them back but the only way I can get them would be to buy them all over again. So please bring them back.
RckBotm187@aol.com

These things were a huge part of my childhood. I still have 'some' of my characters, but have been purchasing them from Ebay.com to rebuild my collection! This is an awesome hobby that I've enjoyed for years. I think
it would be awesome to have a chance at purchasing new models of figures as well as being able to find some of the more rare ones from the past in reprints. boogie@dicksonstreet.com (Boogie)

The M.U.S.C.L.E. men were very popular to me and every boy at my school. I never had a chance to get all of them but I came damn close. Collecting them & trading them was more popular than baseball cards. HUGE. They are fun, unusual, original and very missed. I feel that the different personalities of the MEN encourages the collectors to be original themselves (not usually taught by most toys)
Krexcorn@aol.com

Hello, I believe that M.U.S.C.L.E.s would be an excellent product to re-release. They were an encouragment to creativity as they had very little story and you had to fill in the blanks yourself. A re-realease would also be able to take advantage of the recent surge in wrestling's  popularity. grotedm@hotmail.com (Douglas Grote)

When I was like 5 through 10 i played with them. I for real Had 2 Garbage Bags full, but being a little kid i lost most i only have around 30 now. If they were back on the market i would buy as many as i could.

m.u.s.c.l.e.'s were one of the greatest toys ever released. even though they don't do much as a toy compared to the toys that are out now, they were just the best! its fun to hunt for, collect, and try to complete as
a set, and i'm still looking for some im missing even after all these years have gone by. by re releasing this, you will bring back all the joy of how it was when they were first released, and bring back a lot of
memories.

MUSCLES are the greatest. Theyre pretty durable so ya cant destroy them. They are the all time greates toy.

muscles were one of the most entertaining toys available when i was a youngin. Unlike the other toy lines, i was able to obtain several very fun toys for the same price as one or two of the others. Even after i got older i was very upset when my collection burned. i think it would be very exciting if the muscle toyline was re-released. :^)

M.U.S.C.L.E. toys were soooo cool. I was a kid when I had them and we had so much fun. There were so many different ones. We made our own wrestling federation, with belts and main events and stuff. Cool toys. larry
havok@netacc.net

When I was a kid, I had a small collection of M.U.S.C.L.E. Men. They all got stolen but I didn't care at the time. I did find my favorite in the very bottom of my toybox though. I have kept him next to my bed for years. I now have a total of 5 M.U.S.C.L.E. men, gathered from garage sales and whatnot. I can't find any for sale and no one in this area
has ever heard of them. It would be wonderful if Mattel came out with them again. You have my vote! Matt,

I think that M.U.S.C.L.E. toys can be a very profitable toy of the late 90's if it is marketed for a reasonable price.
nicholas@digizen.net (NG)

Dear Mattel, I grew up in an era with tons of toys on the market. Between G.I.Joes, Mathcbox Cars and whatever else they had, there was such a selection. While all those toys were great, M.U.S.C.L.E. figures were so much better. Im not sure why, but they were unique. There isn't anythig like them on the market and you should consider re-releasing them.~Brayden

I think M.U.S.C.L.E.'s were one of, if not THE greatest toys ever. I loved them so much, as a kid, i recorded the commercial of the TV!! your's truly, Michael Dimmick
miked@1st.net ((the)])ude)

MUSCLE should be re-released now becuase not only is there a collector's  market for them, but with professional wrestling's current popularity children would also be interested in them. Several popular 80's toylines
have been succesfully re-released; such as Transformers, GI Joe, and My Little Pony. -Kelly Greider
dgreider@net-link.net (The Greider Family)

I believe that MUSCLEs should be rereleased for a number of reasons:
1) Mattel/Bandai would save money by rereleasing them. Molds for toys are very expensive, and by reusing old molds, the company would eliminate that expense.
2) The demand for MUSCLEs is great. Internet auctions for them continue to sell
them for higher and higher prices. Also, with the recent popularity of
professional wrestling, the market is perfect for them.
3) Other toy lines have been rereleased and been very profitable, appealing to
both the kids and the collectors. Examples include Star Wars, Transformers, and
GI-Joe.

I vote for the re-release.  With the populatirty of wrestling reemerging. I think it would be a good move for them to be re-released. Plus I can't wait to get my hands on
them again...and I'm 23!!! My wife would never get me to come to bed again...just be playing with my M.U.S.C.L.E men.

I remember when me and my older brother used to fight and not get along. Acually that still goes on, but MUSCLEs were something we could collect together and it brought us closer together. Plus they just look so damn cool! I think they should make ZBots again to but, hey, whats a fellow gonna do.

I am now 23 years old, and could kick myself for throwing away my collection( i worked long and hard to get them, 2 shoeboxes full, when I was a kid) when I thought I had outgrown them. If they were reintroduce into the market, I would definately buy them, and NOT throw them away this time. Also, I had some of the original kinnikomen from Japan(including the kinniko-woman). If it would be possible, please re-release the ENTIRE collection. Thanks Johnny Karis stylus@jps.net

Dear Mattel:
A long time ago, my auntie and uncle had bought me a little garbage can full of neat little creatures inside of it! Well I'll tell you one thing, I never could stop playing with them. And here I am 7 years later still enjoying every single one that I have. And I'm not the only one who loves these things. All of my friends can't stop playing with them either... and we're all 16! If you brought these back into the markets, and had a couple of good commercials to let people know that they're back, I'm sure you'll be rackin' in the money in no time! So please really consider it.
Sincerely, a big collector,

My name is jeff scherr, i'm in college now and i remember the days in 3rd through 7th grade when me and all my best friends collected muscles. we
LOVED em. WE still love em! we each made our own hand made rings and each of us had a different wrestling alliance for our collections of muscles. (i'm proud to say i had the most about 200), but anyway, we may not play with them now, but we still reminesce about those grand days, and how cool it would be if we could buy muscles now. I swear to you, my friends and i would buy the CRAP out of any kind of muscles we could if they were for sale
nowadays. whenever i talk to almost anyone else i know about them they'll say "oh yeah, i remember those guys(muscles), those guys were awesome, i wonder whatever happened to them?" i would just like to say it would be a dream come true (yeah that's pretty said, but true) if muscles were re-released. I would personally spend a fortune collecting them. Please make more MUSCLES!!!!!!

Muscle Men are one of the neatest toys around, not only are they enjoyable, they are also simple, and leave much room for the imagination. Please consider putting them in the market once more. I know many people out there would appreciate it and become quite happy. Thank you

make the people happy, release them again so many would buy them. Make new ones, don't make stupid ones with broken arms though...unless you want

I think M.U.S.C.L.E's are very interesting toys and I think thier re-release with a few added ones would be profitable for Mattel

I love these things! the cool thing about them is that it allows the kid to do anything and everything to them. PLus they were so cheap that all kids could afford them! today, for example, i saw a kid playing with some 'CrazyBones' i think he called them. just colored pieces of plastic, and he loved them. M.U.S.C.L.E.S. would become popular again,
give them a chance!!!! Pablo DePaz

THEM! dasnakebite@hotmail.com (Snake Bite)

wrestling has been a huge success toy lines are now marketing anything from figures to beanies. The sucess of this due in part to the many gimics these wrestlers use. Muscle men carry a variety of faces and images which children can relate to in terms of these props or gimics. Hence tapping into a renewed margin of childrens intrests, to create a profit from a once used idea.

my mom gave them to me as prizes for being good and ever since then i've been searching for muscles and so have many others. this could really provide for big bucks in a "new" market for those parents not interested in the toys which depict an evil aura about them.

This line of toys made me happy when I was a kid and I still have the original ones I bought! I look at them and they bring that same kid out
of me, and that is a GREAT feeling! So please lets make a new line of M.U.S.C.L.E's!!! A LOYAL MUSCLE HEAD,
BALDUE Baldue@webtv.net (Dennis Holmes)

Damn I thought I was the only person who remembered these things from the good old days when toy companies were not afraid to make small toys that could be easily fed to younger siblings and neighborhood dogs...
We need them Back!!! See317@aol.com

MORE M.U.S.C.L.E. MAN!!! MORE M.U.S.C.L.E. MAN!!! MORE M.U.S.C.L.E. MAN!!! I LOVE the M.U.S.C.L.E. toys, and if enough people get together to bring them back, they will come back? Well man, I am down for that cause!

Hi, I really think that these toys should be re-released back on the market. After bringing a few of the hundred that I own to my high school, almost everyone trully wanted to buy them, or said that they had many of these toys, and wished they could buy more. After seeing that these made such an impact on 17 year olds, I beg you to think about what they could do to younger childeren once again!
THANK YOU!

M.U.S.C.L.E is the best toy line of all time! Please bring it back!

From a marketing standpoint, I think it would be very profitable for Mattel to re-release MUSCLE Men. Not only would a new generation of MUSCLE collectors be formed, but also those who were fans in the 80's would probably love to get their hands on some new ones. TPepperMan@aol.com

1.M.U.S.C.L.E.S Are the coolest toys ever.
2.My little brother plays with some of my old ones i gave him
3.you had to use your own imagination to play with them
4.So many people I know would buy them
Please Bring them Back, Andrew

M.U.S.C.L.E. should be re-released because everything to do with wrestling is making a lot of money so it would be profitable for you to make them again.
